The quaint city of Pueblo has been called “a hidden gem”. Pueblo is in southeastern Colorado. About an hour and a half drive from Denver and a three-hour drive from Taos, New Mexico, Pueblo is a smaller city but large enough to have all the amenities of a bigger city. The climate is enjoyable year-round with long spring and fall seasons. Located between rivers and mountains Pueblo also offers visitors a wide variety of scenic beauty.
Pueblo is undergoing a Bohemian renaissance, becoming a haven for internationally known artists. Pueblo's visual arts scene is growing rapidly with many new art galleries and a wide variety or restaurants with diverse cultural cuisines. The historic downtown district with the new River Walk offers unique architectural interest, as well as being a fantastic location to take a walk or sit and have a good coffee, cocktail, or you may choose from a variety of Restaurants.
Students may opt to stay at the unique Station On The River Walk Boutique Hotel, a unique boutique hotel. The rooms were originally cells in the Jail. It also has a nice restaurant and fun lounge called The Clink. There are only 7 rooms so make your reservation immediately upon your registration for the workshop if you wish to stay here.
Two Marriott hotels are located downtown, the Springhill Suites have slightly lower rates than the Courtyard Marriot.
